Vegas Trip 3: Red Rock Hotel

Red Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, NV
First off, let me start by saying this is probably the best hotel in Vegas. Even though it's a little ways away from the strip, it's still pretty damned good, and it was an awesome place to stay. What's there to say about it? Well there's the rooms, which were spacey and accommodating. Sure, they were pricey. But personally, I think it was well worth the price.

Like all Vegas hotels, this place is filled with many attractions and diversions that would make it difficult to tell if this was a casino/buffet, much less a place where people can actually stay. The environment inside has the feel of a typical Vegas casino, but once you set foot into the lobby, and the hotel wing of the building, it's a completely different feel.

Seeing this was a personal vacation, I got myself a standard room. I heard that the suites there are breathtakingly amazing. Someday I hope to find myself able to see afford these rooms, however, the standards are just as good.

This is a typical, standard room in Red Rock Hotel
I won't go into detail about the decoration or visual appeal, but I can tell you that this place is very different than the other casino/hotel's in Vegas.

Another thing I'd like to talk about is it's selection in entertainment. Red Rock Casino and Hotel offers a wide variety of mindless entertainment for a lot of people, ranging from family to couples out on a summer retreat, to single people looking to throw their lives in the Vegas fun. There's a movie theater and bowling alley right in the building. That's right. A bowling alley and movie theater, in same proximity, and just a few minutes away from the hotel lobby. There's also an amazingly large swimming pool area in the hotel.

Not even kidding. This place is HUGE
It's insane how large this place is. This is probably why the place is so far out there; because they now have the space to define "Vegas hotel experience"! The pools? Wow, there's a giant fountain-like pool in the middle, it's about knee-high, so the kids have plenty of fun with that. However, there are also smaller, but deeper pools just outside, for the more older and mature audience. Towels are available in the area, so no point in bringing one from the hotel room. Did I mention that there was a working phone and television in the bathroom of the hotel rooms. It's true. It's insane.

Red Rock's "High Roller" Lounge.
Now, along with the entertainment, there's also more things you can do here in Red Rock. Aside from the casual bars, casinos and poker tables, there's a vast assortment of restaurants hanging around. Of course, in the midst of all this, there's a huge all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant somewhere inside, but I would like to talk about this one peculiar restaurant that I've visited.

LBS Burger Joint. Better than In-N-Out, I swear.
LBS Burger Joint. Wow. This place is awesome. LBS is a special one-of-a-kind restaurant that is found only in Red Rock casino. Aside from it being a burger joint, there's something about the place that definitely struck home with me; whether it being that this is the only LBS restaurant you can find anywhere, or the burgers they serve. Either way, when I stumbled into the place and ordered myself a specialty known as "the Perfect Burger", I was not disappointed.

Summary: Red Rock Hotel is definitely a place to stay if you're looking for more than a week in Vegas, so long as you can afford it. If not, then just hang around, there's plenty of things for you to do there. Sure, you won't have access to the pool, but you at least have the bowling alley and theater, the buffet, and, of course, the LBS burger Joint.
