A trip in Vegas (pt 1)

So, in my last trip to Vegas, I visited GameWorks, which is essentially one of the more glorified versions of the Chuck E. Cheese restaurant chains (which, for some odd reason, I seldom see their commercials floating around on television). To say the least, the place was OK, for the most part. The only issue I had was getting in; granted, this place was smack-dab in the heart of the Las Vegas strip. Traffic was everywhere; and seeing that it is especially as bad around the summer, I was trapped in a sea of tourists. They were like penguins, or some other form of flightless, thoughtless bird; just shuffling about, their heads glancing at every single shimmering light or walking billboard sign out there. Despite the fact that it was night, it was still pretty damn hot out there. It was a nightmare.

So bad, in fact, there were people walking around with coolers full of bottled water, each of which were priced $1. A good deal, really. But I don't trust them. It's Vegas. Anything can happen there.

After finding a parking spot, I was still about thirty minutes away from the place. After pushing, shoving and running through a sea of people, I managed to reach my destination. However, to my dismay, the place was just as crowded inside as it was outside, but it was worse due to the fact that there was very limited space in which people can cram themselves into. Though, my experience there wasn't as bad. I took a moment to dine in the best BBQ bacon cheeseburger I have ever had in my life. Soon after, I was given a little card that had "points" on it, allowing me to play the arcade games there, much like how you put charges on a credit card, this thing can be recharged at any time so you can continue playing.

Summary: The place was pretty nice. However, the location, traffic and trouble of getting there doesn't seem to be worth it, really. I hear there are other locations throughout the US, so I'll try them next.
